This article is intended to help you resolve errors in DNS records set-up for your custom domain. To learn how to set-up your custom domain see this article, how to verify the domain you've connected, please refer to this article.
To connect your your own domain to Member App, you need to set-up a proper A record for your domain. The A records has to point to the IP of the Member App server, The IP value can be found on your domain settings page.
If your DNS A record will contain a different value, you will see an error in your domain settings list next to the domain you are trying to connect.
To resolve 'Wrong A record in DNS' set the correct A record pointing to the right IP address following instructions of your DNS hosting providers (usually its your domain name registrar). See our video tutorial here to learn how it can be done at GoDaddy in more detail. Wait for your changes to be saved. Go back to your domain settings in Member App, click 'Verify again' from the secondary dropdown.
If your domain DNS records are now correct, the status will update and the domain will appear ad 'Verified'.
Your students can now access your memberships and courses by visiting your custom domain.
Please, bear in mind that any change in DNS records takes some time. A good rule of thumb is to wait for 24 hours after you've made the changes. If it takes longer, but you are sure you've set up everything correctly, you may consider contacting our support.
