Member App uses a Membership + Course system. It enables us to offer a wide range of functionality to our users and it's a clear way of separating two different important features within the software.
First lets look at Memberships:
Memberships are like your shell. They enable you to create a website that only allows students to access it through a login. You can connect your membership with external software to perform different actions like transferring a students email from your membership to an email marketing software for example and much much more.
Memberships within Member App also contain a wide range of additional functionality including the ability to edit your emails that are sent out to students, branding of the website you use and more.
Now let's look at Courses:
Courses on the other hand are what is inside the shell. They are accessible within your membership once a student has logged in. Once a student has logged in they arrive at their membership dashboard here:
They can then select which course they want to access and access that course. Courses contain the training material laid out in both modules and lessons. They are what your students pay for.
Conclusion:
Membership website is the look and feel of your website. Memberships allow you to create a private area where users can login and they also allow you to add branding enhancing a customers experience.
Courses on the other hand are inside of memberships. They contain the content that customers have purchased and they work together with membership websites. Membership websites provide people with access to a private membership. Courses are listed inside of that private membership ready for students to access and benefit from.
